بسم الله الرحمن الرحي
(The Prophet (saw) used to strive hard and worship in the last nights of Ramadan as he never did at any other time.)
On May 13th we entered into the last 10 days of Ramadan. InshaAllah we will all use this time to seek the blessings of Allah. “Whoever spends Laylat al-Qadr in prayer, believing in Allah and seeking His reward, will be forgiven all of his past sins.” (Al Bukhari& Muslim)
This year, the Islamic Awareness Center/ Masjid Al Taw-heed has set the sadaqah/zakat-ul-fitr amount as $8 per person, for each member of a household. This amount should be paid before the Eid day. Payments can be dropped in the marked slot next to the door at the masjid. Payments can also be made online through Paypal or Venmo. Please click below to make your sadaqah/zakat-ul-fitr.
InshaAllah we will be able to come together soon, but until then let us all be thankful for all the blessings
5728. Narrated Sa’d: The Prophet (pbuh) said. “If you hear of an outbreak of plague in a land, do not enter: but if the plague breaks out in a place while you are in it, do not leave that place.”
The Islamic Awareness Center (IAC) is dedicated to the cause of Islam in North America. Our focus is on providing the correct information about Islamic beliefs, history and practices from authentic sources. Our goal is to promote a better understanding of Islam and Muslims.
The Islamic Awareness Center was established in 2001 in Binghamton, NY. It is a Da’wah Organization. The working definition of Da’wah for the “Islamic Awareness Center” is to convey the true message of Islam to non-Muslims, and to try and remove misinformation about Islam and Muslims.
For anyone wanting to know more about Islam and Muslims, please feel free to visit the center. We invite you with open arms and look forward to sharing our Beliefs, tenants, and/or answering any questions you may have in regards to Islam.
