The Islamic Awareness Center (IAC) is dedicated to the cause of Islam in North America. Our focus is on providing the correct information about Islamic beliefs, history and practices from authentic sources. Our goal is to promote a better understanding of Islam and Muslims.

As part of our effort to encourage acts of charity (sadaqah) and fulfill the obligation of zakāt, we share links to organizations that may be assisting those in need. We urge all brothers and sisters to make du‘ā’, seek guidance, and carry out due diligence before donating. Ensure that your charity is given in a manner that is pleasing to Allah (Subḥānahu wa Ta‘ālā) and reaches those whom He commands us to support.

The Islamic Awareness Center was established in 2001 in Binghamton, NY. It is a Da’wah Organization. The working definition of Da’wah for the “Islamic Awareness Center” is to convey the true message of Islam to non-Muslims, and to try and remove misinformation about Islam and Muslims.

Welcome to our community! Our facilities are open for the five daily prayers. Conveniently, there are several halal restaurants, both dine-in and take-out, within a 5-10 minute radius that are open late to meet your needs. If the door is locked, please call the number listed on the door for assistance.
